Hi, currently a customer have a 2 node 12C RAC cluster and they wants to increase db nodes by another two. They are asking.
1. Can have these new nodes using a deferent ip (Client access) subnet than the existing ones?
2. Can they have two deferent SCAN listeners for each of its IP subnets?
Note there is only one ASM instance!
Hope the questing is clear and as far as I know the nodes with in the same cluster should be in the same subnet and unless it is a stretched cluster!
