I've been playing around with the APEX clone sessions functionality but I am struggling to get it working satisfactorily and I was wondering what I am missing. I have followed the instructions in the documentation to switch the parameter on and have followed some other useful blogs (see link below that shows what I followed) to simply set a link on a navigation menu to clone the session with the APEX_CLONE_SESSION request. The problem is that the cloning seems to be one step behind where it should be.
Step 1 Login.
Step 2 Hit the clone button. The session remains the same (although debugging suggests a new session has been created)
Step 3 Hit the clone button again, now we see a new session in the URL. This seems to be the session that was created in step 2. Hitting clone from now one produces new session ids
What I really need is a new session id to be assigned the 1st time I hit clone otherwise it's not going to be very useful.
What I am missing here?
