Addressee processing in ODEE

Dave SandersNov 15 2022

I'm hoping that someone can help me better understand how Addressee processing works (ODEE 12.6.4). I'm struggling to get it set up properly, and while this will most likely become an SR I'd like to see if anyone in the forum has any insight into this. While following the Documaker Enterprise Administrator Guide, here are the steps that I have taken:
XDD:

  1. Created an addressee record in the XDD
  2. Mapped ADDRESS1, ADDRESS2, CITY, NAME, POSTALCODE, STATE to my XML
  3. Set SELECTED=1 and TYPE=0

BDF:
4. Assigned the Insured recipient's Address Map to the addressee record that I just created

SECTION:
5. Created an address block section with ADR_NAME, ADR_ADDRESS1, ADR_ADDRESS2, ADR_CITY, ADR_STATE on it.
6. On these fields, I set the Scope=Global, enabled the 'Send Copy To' option. The fields are not in a text area.
7. I did not map the fields to anything. It is my understanding that these will automatically map to the GVMs with the same name

FORM:
8. In the Section Recipients option, I set the Insured recipient to 1 Copy

FSIUSER_2.INI:
9. Set the StandardType to Addressee:
< DocFactory >
StandardType = ADDRESSEE

I recognize that when I run this through the Test Scenarios in Studio that I will not see the values populated, but according to the Administrator Guide I should be able to see them when clicking the Show Addressee List button. Also, in Test Scenarios I am not seeing the Addressee GVMs being created.

I'm really asking for help with two things:
-- If anyone sees anything glaring that I may be missing, I would appreciate the assistance
-- If anyone can better explain how Addressee processing works in ODEE, I would appreciate the insight. Maybe we can encourage Andy into writing a new blog article on the topic.

As always, Thanks in advance!
Dave
